You Are Never Too Old to Learn!

By Margaret Howell

The last weekend of September, I had the pleasure of meeting with a client who wanted to create a photo book featuring pictures of her grandchildren, starting with her oldest grandson. We decided to begin with FOREVER AutoBook, an easy tool that automatically creates photo books from your pictures, before updating her Artisan software, which provides advanced design features for creating fully customized photo books and digital scrapbooks.

She was excited and ready to get started—and then she casually mentioned that the following week, she would be attending her 70th high school reunion!

Yes… you read that right. She is 88 years young!

We started by uploading her photos to FOREVER and creating an album for her AutoBook. Then we jumped in and created a 64-page book together. I showed her how to change page designs, swap out photos, and add her own journaling to tell the stories behind the pictures.

After she had edited about a quarter of the book on her own, we took a little break and upgraded her from Artisan 4 to Artisan 6. We got everything set up, and I walked her through creating a book and finding her photos.

A week later, I checked in to see how she was doing. She was doing great! She had simply forgotten one of the steps we had covered during our session, but after a quick refresher, she was off and running again.

And then came her big weekend… her 70th high school reunion! She had a wonderful time celebrating with about 40 of her classmates and friends.

I can’t wait to see the photos she took and, of course, I can’t wait to see the book when she finishes it!

This is one of the things I love most about what I do as a FOREVER Ambassador. It isn’t just about making photo books. It’s about helping people preserve their memories, learn something new, and realize that age is no reason to stop creating.

At 88, she is still learning, creating, celebrating, and making memories.

You are NEVER too old to learn something new!
