If you find yourself working with very old photographs, here's a technique that will have your photo frames matching the period. You'll have a vintage look in just a few clicks!

On the Insert Ribbon>Shape> choose Rectangle.
- Choose white for the fill and remove the stroke.
- Click create.
- Right click>Flatten the rectangle.
On the Cut Ribbon> Straight > Paper Rip.
- Select Rough rip with Rip reveal at 0 and Rip irregularity at 0.9.
- Make the Width 0.07.
- Position the cutting edge with the edge of the rectangle and choose Cut.
Use Quick Access Toolbar to rotate the rectangle. Go to Cut Ribbon> Straight > Paper Rip (Use the same setting as the previous step.)
- Move the cutting edge up or down to vary the cut so it won't be the same on all sides and choose Cut.
- Repeat this process until all 4 sides of the rectangle are cut.
On the Insert Ribbon> add an empty photo holder to the page.
- Select both the Deckled element and the photo holder, go to Arrange Ribbon> Align and center the elements horizontally and vertically.
If text is desired, increase the length of the deckled edge rectangle by pulling down the sizing handles at the bottom of the deckled element.
- Go to Insert Ribbon> Text and add a text box to page. Position the text box on the deckled element below the photo holder.
Right click on the photo holder>Effects>Edit>Add an effect>Insert an inside shadow.
