Knowing when to group photo holders together for aligning is very helpful for a layout. In this video you will learn how to use grouping to make precise alignments when arranging photo holders together. Video Notes:

- 1. Grouping elements is like "taping" them together for a temporary action.
  2. Select photo holders 2, 3 and 4 and align them to the left using the Quick Access Toolbar (QAT). Photos selected > QAT > Align left
  3. With photo holders 2, 3 and 4 still selected, space them vertically even using the QAT.
  4. Make photo holders 2, 3 and 4 the same height at photo holder 1.
  5. Group photo holders 2, 3 and 4 together. Right click > Grouping > Group. Artisan sees this group of photo holders as one element.
  6. This group of photo holders will be adjusted to the same height of photo holder 1.
  7. With the grouped photo holders selected - shift, left click the photo holder one (that is the correct size).
  8. From the Quick Access Toolbar, select Adjust sizes > Make same height.
  9. Align these two photo groupings to the top.
  10. Ungroup all photo holders. Right click > Grouping > Ungroup.
  11. Group photo holders 3 and 4 together, Right click > Grouping > Group. Artisan sees this group of photo holders as one element.
  12. Select photo holder 5. Shift, left click the grouped photo holders.
  13. From the QAT, select Adjust sizes > Make same height.
  14. From the QAT, align photo holder 5 to the top of the 3-4 grouping.
  15. Align photo holder 5 to the right of photo holder 2 using the QAT.
  16. Adjust the left side of photo holder 5 so the margins are the same as the other photo holders.
  17. Ungroup all the photo holders. Right click > Grouping > Ungroup
  18. Select and group all the photo holders together. Right click > Grouping > Group
  19. Adjust the size of the photo collage while it is grouped together.
  20. Center the collage on the page. Home Ribbon > Align > Center on page
  21. Ungroup all the photo holders. Right click > Grouping > Ungroup
  22. Using the grouping function and alignment tools, the collage is perfectly aligned.
