You will fall in love with this border technique when you see how easy it is to use your favorite embellishments for the decorative detail. In this video we will show you how to use lines/strokes to create a decorative cascading border on your page. **Objective:** Use the insert line feature and format the stroke using an image to create the decorative detail.

Video Notes:

- - Go to the Content panel> embellishment and choose your desired embellishment
    - Add the embellishment to the page
    - Right click the embellishment> Copy
  - Insert> Other> Line> Straight line or Path
    - Click in the upper left corner of the page and add 1 point.
    - Click in the upper right corner of the page and add 1 point
    - In the operations panel, go to Stroke> Select Stroke from Art Kit
      - Choose a stroke for your pattern
      - Select Stroke
    - Increase the Width of your stroke to 1 inch
    - Click Create
  - Right click the stroke path> Stroke> Format
    - In the Pattern line style section go the Shape> Get Image> Paste
    - Format stroke as desired
  - Position the stroke paths at the 1 inch mark.
    - Right click> Copy, right click> Paste
    - Position the copy at the 2 inch mark
    - Repeat until you have your desired number of stroke paths, each time positioning the path 1 inch below the previous
  - Select your second stroke path and use the Quick Access Toolbar to decrease the size/width slightly
    - Select each subsequent stroke path, decreasing the stroke size/width making it smaller than the stroke path before it.
    - (Note: the sample uses 1 inch, 3/4 inch, 1/2 inch for the width.)
