Over the Rainbow Pre-Crop Week 2 Activities

Welcome to Week 2 of Over the Rainbow pre-crop activities. While a pixels2Pages Membership is not required for this event, as the Wicked Witch said, it can be very helpful. This week we will begin gathering photos that we will use during training weekend.

The official hashtag for this event is:

#p2POTRVirtualParty

Use this hashtag on every post you make for Over the Rainbow, in addition to hashtags specific to each offering. Hashtags will be provided throughout the crop. Hashtags matter because they help people find similar posts easily. Clicking on a hashtag pulls up all posts with that same hashtag.

Weekly Webinar

Each week we will present a Webinar with information to help you get prepared for training weekend. All Webinars (Weeks 1-6) will happen on Monday evenings at 9 pm ET US from March 4 to April 8, 2024. They will be recorded, so if you are unable to attend live, you can watch the recording at your convenience.

Goody Bag Challenge:

Are you loving your Goody Bag Distributions so far? Well let's tell the world. Here is a challenge that will give you the opportunity to win an Exclusive Blueprint or a seat at our Exclusive Meet and Greet:

• Use any kit that you received in Goody Bag Distribution 2 to create a travel-themed page. You can use any Blueprints you have received in addition to pixels2Pages Blueprints or Blueprint Builders. Do not use any additional kits.
• Post your page to the pixels2Pages Community using the following hashtags: #p2POTRGoodyBag and #p2POTRTravel.

This challenge will promote this event and potentially get additional people to join. All winners will be chosen from Facebook, however, you are welcome to post to The World of Designers collaborative album and you will be eligible for our random page draws.

Mandatory Badge Activities

These are the activities you must complete in order to earn your badge for the Week 1 activities.

1. Review lessons 4-6 of the Getting Started Guide if you have not reviewed the Getting Started Guide in the past year.
2. Download Distribution 2 and install the kits in Artisan.
3. Add the kits to the “p2P VP Over the Rainbow” category that you created during Week 0.
4. Tag and categorize all the kits in Distribution 2.
5. Check the News section and make sure that you are up to date and have read all available news.
6. Visit the profile page collaborative album and check the "Corrections Needed" nested album. If your image is there, please read the description to see what changes need to be made. Make the changes and reload your corrected profile to the main profile collaborative album.
7. Begin gathering photos that you will use when creating pages from the Over the Rainbow Breakouts.
   (a) If you organize your photos in Historian, create a Category called “OTR Breakouts” and a tag within that category called “All.” Add 50 to 150 photos to the OTR Breakouts> All tag.
   (b) If you prefer to organize your photos in FOREVER Storage, create an album called "OTR Breakouts" and add 50 -150 photos to the album.
   Alternative: If you are not a Historian user, we strongly recommend you take advantage of option (b), however, if your internet prevents you from doing so, you may create a folder on your computer and add 50 - 150 photos in the folder.

Optional Badge Activities

These are the activities you may choose to do during Week 2, but they are not required in order to earn your Week 1 badge.

2. Create a page for the Goody Bag Challenge.
3. Sign up for the World of Designers webinars.
4. Order an Over the Rainbow T-shirt. Ordering Deadlines are upon us and can be found in the news section of this site.
5. If you have already purchased and received your t-shirt, take a picture of yourself with your t-shirt on and add it to our Group Photo Collaborative Album. We will briefly discuss this during our Week 2 webinar.
