This quick page technique is extremely flexible and has lots of style. Experience how the alignment helpers make positioning elements on your page effortless. Objective: Design a page from a blank canvas.

Video Notes:

- - Insert> Content> Shape> Rectangle
    - Make the width 10 inches and height 10 inches
    - Click Create
    - With the rectangle selected go to Home>Align> Center on the page
  - Insert>Empty frame
    - Right click photo holder> Aspect ratio> Landscape 3x5
  - Insert>Empty frame
    - Right click photo holder> Aspect ratio> Portrait 3x5
    - Position this photo holder beneath the landscape photo holder
      - Leave space between the two photo holders
    - Use the alignment helpers to make sure the right side of each photo holder are aligned
  - Select both photo holders
    - Copy and Paste
      - You will now have 4 photo holders
    - Position the portrait photo holder to the right of the original landscape photo holder
    - Position the landscape photo holder to the right of the original portrait photo holder
    - Use the alignment helpers to make sure the photo holders are properly aligned in distinct quadrants
  - Select all 4 photo holders, right click> Grouping> Group
    - With the group selected, go to Home> Align> Center on the page
      - If necessary, resize the group of photo holders
      - Home> Align> Center on the page
    - Right Click> Grouping> Un-group
  - Insert> Content> Shape> Rectangle
    - Change the fill to a contrasting color
    - Set the stroke to "None"
    - Using the alignment helpers as a guide, position and size the rectangle to fit the space to the right of the top right photo holder
    - Click Create
  - Copy and paste the rectangle
    - Position the rectangle in the space to the left of the bottom left photo holder
  - Insert > Text
    - Use the alignment helpers to size and position the text box in the space above the upper left photo
  - Insert > Text
    - Use the alignment helpers to size and position the text box in the space above the bottom right photo
  - Select all photo holders, the rectangles and text boxes (except the top left text box)
    - Use the Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) and apply a Stroke
  - Select the bottom right text box
    - Use the QAT to fill it with color
      - Click the HSB button> Opacity and reduce the opacity slightly
        
        If you reduce the Opacity too much, you will not be able to increase it properly and will have to cancel the fill and start the fill again
    - Open the text box
      - In the operations panel, go to Layout> Alignment
      - Center the text horizontally and vertically
      - Increase the margin
  - Fill the layout with papers, embellishments and your story
