This Pixie Power Minute features a stitching technique for design elements on a layout. By adding a line and formatting the type of line, a stitch embellishment can be created. Make several lines and layer them together to stitch down a photo or other embellishments on a layout. Video Notes: On the Insert Ribbon, click on Line

There are 3 choices of line types
- Freehand drawing
- Straight
- Curved
Freehand drawing
- Left click holding down the mouse button and begin to drag the mouse across the page
- Release the mouse button when the line is complete
- Click create
Straight line
- Left click to begin the line
- Left click to end the line
- Click create
Curved line
- Left click to begin the line
- Move the mouse and left click for each point in the line
- The line will be curved between the points
- Click create
Formatting the line
- Select the line
- On the Quick Access Toolbar, change the stroke to 1pt
- On the Quick Access Toolbar, change the line type to Simple
- On the Quick Access Toolbar, change the color of the stroke
Layer the line together and place over a photo or embellishment to "stitch down" the element.
